Availability for Symphony Web Services 3.0 or earlier users
If you use Symphony Web Services version 3.0 or earlier, you can configure Portfolio to display availability information in search results and detail displays.
With this feature enabled for a search source site, the software will automatically add a Status column to the detail display. The Status column displays the current location of an item or the item’s due date if it is checked out.
You can also configure how availability will display in search results in one of three ways:
-
Display availability counts for an entire site, for example:
7 copies available at County libraries
-
Display limited availability counts to a search library, for example:
3 copies available at North Branch
-
Display availability for a search library with the option to show counts for the site if the limit returns 0, for example
0 copies available at North Branch; 5 copies available at County libraries
To turn on availability
